DESCRIPTION:The United Nations World Geospatial Information Congress (UNWGIC)\, organized\nby the United Nations through Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA)\nwith the support of the Government of China through the Ministry of Natural\nResources and the Zhejiang Provincial Government\, will be convened in Deqing\,\nZhejiang Province\, China from 19 to 21 November 2018.\nThe convening of the UNWGIC arises out of the mandate from the United Nations\nEconomic and Social Council (ECOSOC) to the Committee of Experts on Global\nGeospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) – a subsidiary body of ECOSOC\n– to convene global forums to promote comprehensive dialogue on global geospatial\ninformation management with all relevant governments\, non-governmental\norganizations and the private sector. The objective of the UNWGIC is to provide a\nconvening\, participatory and inclusive environment to enhance the communication\,\nunderstanding\, knowledge and application of geospatial information management to\naddress local\, regional and global challenges
